R.E.A.L. Fitness & Nutrition is a start-up company that makes it easy for people to find fitness & nutrition products, services and resources in their neighborhoods. We publish bi-weekly electronic newsletters that feature deals & events that are offered by local fitness & nutrition businesses throughout NYC. We are seeking marketing interns who have a passion for fitness or nutrition and who want to obtain meaningful experience that will prepare him or her for a career in marketing. The Interns will work closely with the company`s founder and senior executives and will work on projects that will have an immediate impact on the company`s operations.
Specifically, the Intern will perform the following responsibilities:
• Conduct research for the local fitness & nutrition industry
• Communicate with potential partners
• Develop and manage social media marketing campaigns
• Manage and update the company’s proprietary database
• Represent RealFN at local fitness & nutrition events
Requirements:
• Enrolled at a four year college (junior and seniors only) or recent college graduate
• Computer & technology savvy and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently and in collaborative teams
• An excellent researcher
• Detail oriented and well organized
About the Internship Program
While this is an UNPAID internship, it will be incredibly rewarding. The Interns will not be faxing, photocopying and buying coffee. Quite the opposite: the Interns will be an integral part of our team and he or she will gain invaluable experience. We take mentor the Intern and help him or her develop useful real-world skills. We are proud of the accomplishments of some of our past Interns, some of whom have obtained jobs in the NFL, NBA, NHL while others have returned to graduate school. Where appicable, we have provided stellar recomendations to deserving Interns.
